Here are some of the accomplishments of the GGHS Band
during the 2007/2008 school year:

• Straight Superior rating at the FBA Marching MPA

• Straight Superior Rating at the FBA Jazz MPA

• Straight Superior rating at the FBA District Concert MPA (The only school in
Collier or Lee County to achieve all three of these accomplishments!)
 

• Sixteen students selected for All County Band
 

• Thirty students (21 events) participated in the FBA Solo and Ensemble Festival
 

• Nineteen out of twenty-one events received a superior rating at the FBA Solo and
Ensemble Festival (This is an incredible percentage!)
 

• Every single percussion event at Solo and Ensemble (8 events) received a superior
rating.
 

• Entire band program participated in Prism Concert and was performed for over
1600 people
 

• Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band participated in Patriotic Concert
 

• Over 40 public performances during the school year for the band program alone.
 

• Band traveled to Washington DC and performed at the Old Post Office
 

The GGHS Band Program would like to thank the GGHS Band Boosters for all
of their hard work and dedication to the GGHS Band Program, without your
support the GGHS Band Program would not be what it is today. The GGHS
Band would also like to thank the GGHS Administration, your support of the
band program is tireless and we are so thankful to have such a wonderful
administrative team who puts students needs as their top priority. We would
like to finally thank the GGHS Band Seniors for taking a chance on coming to
a brand new high school and helping to create the GGHS Band. You will be
missed and we wish you the best for the future!
