Here are some of the accomplishments of the GGHS Band

during the 2006/2007 school year:

 

  • Straight Superior rating at the FBA Marching MPA

 

  • Straight Superior Rating at FBA Jazz Band MPA

 

  • Superior rating at the FBA District Concert MPA

 

  • Twelve students selected for All County Band

 

  • Twenty-five students participated in the FBA Solo and Ensemble Festival

 

  • Twelve students received a superior rating at the FBA Solo and Ensemble Festival

 

  • Five percussion ensembles received a superior rating at the FBA Solo and Ensemble Festival

 

  • Three students qualified for the FBA State Solo and Ensemble Festival

 

  • Two superior and one excellent rating at the FBA State Solo and Ensemble Festival

 

  • Dance team placed 2nd place in their division in SWFIEA finals competition

 

  • Winter Guard placed 4th place in their division in SWFIEA finals competition.

 

  • Entire band program participated in Prism Concert

 

  • Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band  participated in Patriotic Concert

 

  • Over 40 public performances during the school year for the band program alone.

 

  • Jazz Band received straight Excellent ratings at the FBA State Jazz MPA
